The CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling has a number of core units that require you to demonstrate your ability to perform certain tasks within a simulated work context, and some include the requirement that your mock client be in the same room as you.

 

The units that require that your mock client be in the same room as you for the performance assessments are:

CHCCSL001 Establish and confirm the counselling relationship

CHCCSL002 Apply specialist interpersonal and counselling interview skills  

CHCCSL003 Facilitate the counselling relationship and process   

CHCCSL004 Research and apply personality and development theories   

CHCCSL005 Apply learning theories in counselling   

CHCCSL006 Select and use counselling therapies   

CHCCSL007 Support counselling clients in decision-making processes   

CHCCCS017 Provide loss and grief support 

 

In all other units in Diploma, unless specifically stated otherwise in the assessment, the mock client can be in another physical location to the student.
